Family Village Cottage, Pyrford
Our clients, a young family, collaborated with us to transform their home as their lives evolved. The goal was to create a relaxed, playful, and comfortable living space. With the arrival of their children, the home needed to accommodate the many things that children bring, such as equipment, toys, and books. Additionally, the design had to incorporate multifunctional rooms, such as a combined home office, library, and playroom.
We curated an art collection that included works from emerging artists, limited edition prints, and photography. This collection was not only beautiful and personal to our clients but also suited their budget. Each piece added meaning, soul, and beauty to their home. In terms of the colour scheme, we selected a mix of warm and cool colours inspired by nature. The neutral backdrop allowed vibrant colours from the art to stand out. Soft blue, a favourite of our clients, was used as a recurring theme, complemented throughout by accent colours such as burnt orange.
"My approach is to create spaces that tell a story - a narrative that evolves with my clients’ lives. I design with an understanding that a home should grow and adapt, layering meaningful details over time while still feeling cohesive and timeless."
