Interior Design for Surrey Homes

Thoughtful, tailored interiors for families who want their home to reflect who they are and how they live.

From a single room to a whole-house renovation, across Surrey, South West London, Hampshire and Sussex.

A home that is truly considered rarely happens by accident. It emerges from a close understanding of how a family lives, what they value, and the character and architecture of the home they inhabit.

Laura brings that understanding to every project she takes on, working closely alongside her clients from the earliest conversations through to the finished result.

A white dresser with two drawers, ornate brass handles, and a decorative white applique on the top drawer. On top of the dresser, there is a transparent glass vase with white flowers and a pair of modern table lamps with curved brass arms and fabric shades with red and white abstract patterns. A large gold-framed mirror is reflected on the wall behind the dresser.

When a home holds more potential than you know where to begin

Most clients come to Laura at a moment of possibility. A new house full of promise. A long-awaited renovation that has finally become feasible. A family that has grown and now has different needs. They arrive with a strong sense of how they want their home to feel, though not always a clear picture of how to get there.

What they are searching for is someone who can take those ideas and translate them into something real: a coherent vision, the right materials and makers, a considered plan that holds together beautifully from the structural decisions through to the final details.

The scope of a renovation is genuinely broad, and the number of choices involved, from spatial planning and lighting to joinery, colour and the sequencing of trades, is one that benefits greatly from an experienced hand to guide it.

This is where Laura's role begins. Not simply as a source of ideas, but as a trusted collaborator who brings clarity, expertise and calm to a process that, handled well, can be one of the most rewarding things a family undertakes.

A Surrey interior designer who brings everything together

Laura Charlick designs original, well-considered homes for private clients across Surrey, South West London, Sussex and Hampshire.

She has the technical training to deliver exceptional spatial planning, lighting design, kitchen and bathroom design, and bespoke joinery, alongside a trusted network of artisans, suppliers and specialist consultants built carefully over years of practice.

Her approach is thorough, collaborative, and deeply attentive to the special character of each project and each family.

Having grown up in Canada before making her home in Surrey, Laura brings an international perspective to her work.

Her earlier marketing career spanned Europe, North America and Asia, and she lived in Hong Kong for several years before returning to the UK and retraining at KLC School of Design.

She works with an increasingly international clientele alongside established local families, and she understands that the measure of a successful project is not simply how well it photographs, but how well it works for the people living in it.

From the first conversation to the final installation, Laura's involvement is close and consistent.

She designs for longevity, making choices that will still feel right as a family grows and changes around them.

It is, as she sees it, one of the most enduring things good designs can offer.

"A thoughtfully designed home can transform how we live, bringing joy and a sense of harmony to daily life. For me, the heart of great design lies in collaboration - working closely with clients to bring their vision to life while inspiring them to explore possibilities beyond what they imagined. Together, we create spaces that uplift and enrich."

The final design captured exactly what I wanted

“From start to end, it was a pleasure to work with Laura on the redesign of a disused junk room into a sleek and stylish home office. Laura took the time to really understand and get to the heart of how I would use the room, and how I wanted it to reflect my personality and desired aesthetic. The final design captured exactly what I wanted, with detailed layouts and a thoughtful approach to curating everything from furniture to accessories, covering a range of options to meet my needs. Laura was open and honest about budgets throughout the project, she worked flexibly around my schedule, and she was always punctual in delivering promised solutions. I would love to work with Laura again. ”

That combination of high standards, perseverance and people skills is rare

“I've worked closely with Laura on numerous interior design projects across Surrey, and she consistently delivers to the highest standard. Her attention to detail is exceptional. She has a real talent for transforming spaces in a creative way, and also feels considered and personal to each client. What sets her apart is how she is with everyone involved, clients and tradespeople alike. She's warm, approachable and a genuine pleasure to work with on-site. And when a project gets tough, and the client's energy starts to fade, Laura is the one still driving it forward, pragmatic enough to find solutions, but never willing to compromise on the end result. That combination of high standards, perseverance and people skills is rare. As an interior designer in Woking and across Surrey, I couldn't recommend her more highly.”

A Home That Reflects Who You Are

The homes Laura designs are not simply beautiful to look at.

They are spaces that support the rhythms of a family's life, that feel personal, and that deepen in character with time.

Considered materials. Carefully sourced pieces with their own quiet stories.

Details that reveal themselves gradually, long after the project has finished.

A completed Laura Charlick project is a home that feels entirely yours: one that functions beautifully, grows naturally with your family, and that you will return to at the end of the day with a quiet sense of pleasure.

Recent projects range from a whole-house renovation for a young family relocating to West Byfleet from abroad, to a beautifully considered shaker kitchen, dining and utility rooms in Cobham and an elegant study in Cobham where oiled oak and dark blue furniture were layered with a client's North American art collection.

Wherever the project, Laura brings the same care to making it feel personal to the people who live there.

Let's create a home you love

Whether you have a clear vision already, or simply a feeling that your home could be more, Laura would very much like to hear about it.
